Reflecting on the Animatic Storyboard (28/10/15)

Reflection:
After having filmed, edited and seen the final product of our animatic storyboard there are several improvements that we can make to make sure that our shooting day ad post production process for our music video goes smoothly.

Filming:
When we filmed the animatic storyboard, there was only one person at a time on the camera. I think this worked well and allowed that one person to hold the shot and do what is needed to be done.
We also filmed some of the shots out of focus which means we need to make sure that every time we are about to film, everything is in focus and clear.
When we came to editing we also realized that some of the shots were a bit too short for the amount of time we wanted to use that frame for, therefore we can prepare for the real shoot day where we will need to remember to  hold a  few seconds before the shot and a few seconds after, to allow for any extra space needed when we will be in the post production stages.
Another thing we noticed was that because the tripod was not extremely stable, some of our shots moved slightly, this means we need to make sure that we set up the tripod properly as well as having a steady hand when we are shooting.

Editing:
When we edited the animatic storyboard, we found that we needed to listen to the song more closely and find the exact point where the beat hits so that it looks on time, some of the shots we were unable to do that with which made it look as if it was lagging a bit. This will be important for us to remember when we are editing our music video.
We also found that at points the editing became quite repetitive due to the fact that we kept cutting on the same beat which got a bit boring at one point. We need to keep this in mind when we are editing our music video because we need to make sure our audience stays interested and wants to keep watching the video.
We used markers to keep an exact spot on where the cut should be. This was very useful and we should definitely use it when it comes to editing our music video.
